The speaker grille is adorned with the distinctive line pattern borrowed from the slash in the “Harman/Kardon” brand logo. The covering keeps out dirt and debris. The voice coil on the back is protected by a bumper, while the slots characteristic of the Harman Kardon design provide for venting.
